Meet the Team

Meet the team who will be delivering our sessions

Our Principal

Christina Riley

Christina trained at Brooksby Melton College as a Musical Theatre student and continued her studies at De Montfort University where she earned a First-Class Honours Performing Arts Degree. Whilst at University she opened up a dance school in Newark which later developed into Studio29 Performing Arts Academy.

Christina also trained as a dancer in Newark completing many IDTA grades in Ballet, Tap, Theatre Craft, Modern, Cheerleading and Jazz. She has always sang in a choir and has performed in many shows and musicals. Her favourite role has been the character "Demeter" from CATS with the Newark Amateur Operatic Society and "Iris" from the musical Fame.

Christina started Studio29 to give all pupils the opportunity to sing, act and dance in a positive, fun and safe environment. She believes everyone should have the opportunity to perform and develop their creativity (regardless of their ability, disability and/or age), and to have a safe space to develop their skills and techniques.

With over 15 years in dance training, 20 years of performance and musical theatre experience and over 7 years of teaching dance and performance to all ages, Christina will be providing an opportunity for your child to experience high quality musical theatre sessions on a weekly basis.

Christina is a mum to 4 young boys and she says having them join Studio29 has really developed and encouraged their creativity. They often ask to play the drama games at home and have developed lots of confidence in the studio and on the stage. She says in her free time she loves nothing more than spending time with her family and making lots of memories together.

Parent to  Emma (5)

My little girl has been very nervous to join groups outside of school and Christina has been so accommodating to her needs that her confidence has doubled in the last few months. She now dances freely to the TV and stays for the classes on her own. Christina's classes have been such an important part of her development.
